もちの木（モチノキ）

モチノキは、モチノキ科モチノキ属の常緑高木です。樹皮から鳥もちが取れることからその名がつきました。庭木として広く植えられ、赤い実が美しく、クリスマスシーズンなどにも用いられます。雌雄異株で、雌株に赤い実がなります。
